"I was in heaven again today listening to my longtime student Ricardo Olavarrieta commentate for ESPN Latin America as Carolina Kostner Performed and saw that my former student Lori Nichol was there as the choreographer.
I have so many students in Sochi in different capacities from David Santee, Mitch Moyer, Igor Shpilband, Jim Peterson, John Millier, Kris Wirtz, and many others. Only 2 were Olympians themselves (David and Kris). My heartbreak is for longtime student John Coughlin who I feel should have made the Olympic team. In the Last Olympics John was 2 in short and 4th in long and just missed and this year 4th in short and 1st in long for 3rd overall by 3/10 from 2nd. Only 2 Places for the team. I am so happy and proud of all of them. "
Another Big Success! Would like to personally thank SCLP Coach Angie Gavin who gave so freely of her time and selfless effort to organize and promote our 3rd Basic Skills competition. Thank you Angie!

Holiday on Ice! (Link to site here)
Congratulations Julianne and Kudos to talented Coach Karen Courtland Kelly!
Name: Julianne DiMura
I began figure skating at the age of 6 and started training with Karen Courtland Kelly at the age of 12. Since then, Karen has served as my primary coach and has really helped me develop a strong skating foundation and understanding of proper technique. I credit Karen Courtland Kelly and Patrick Kelly for much of my figure skating success - their expertise and support have really made such a difference in my skating and performance abilities.
I am a May 2013 graduate of the University of Delaware, where I majored in Psychology and minored in Business Administration. While at Delaware, I was a four-year member and competitor on the University of Delaware Collegiate Figure Skating Team (UDCFST). UDCFST is the 2011 and 2013 Intercollegiate National Champions and the 2012 Intercollegiate Silver Medalists. In addition to competing, I served at the team's Secretary for the 2011-2012 season and the team's President for the 2012-2013 season.
Current post-graduation plans: I will be figure skating professionally with Holiday On Ice and will perform as an ensemble cast member in the "Platinum" touring production. Rehearsals will take place throughout October in The Netherlands. From November through February, the production will tour throughout Germany. We will then perform in various cities in France, including over 2 weeks in Paris, from the end of February to the middle of May.
Recent Individual Figure Skating Accomplishments:
Competitor at the 2011 and 2012 National Solo Dance Championships
2011 Intercollegiate National Championships; Gold Medalist, Junior Ladies Short Program
2012 Intercollegiate National Championships: Gold Medalist, Junior Ladies Championship Freeskate; Gold Medalist, Solo International Dance
2013 Intercollegiate National Championships: Bronze Medalist, Junior Ladies Championship Freeskate; Silver Medalist, Solo International Dance
